FACILITIES

Kieve Wavus Education has a wide array of facilities for your retreat, from cozy lakeside cottages, to group cabins with bunk beds, to hotel style rooms in a lodge.

Whether you are looking for a powerful learning experience, a professional meeting space, an exquisite location for a social function, a peaceful wellness retreat, or a quiet private retreat, KWE has the facilities for you all located right on the shores of Damariscotta Lake.

KENNEDY LEARNING CENTER

Located on Kieve’s Nobleboro campus, the Kennedy Learning Center offers its guests a private retreat set on the shores of beautiful Lake Damariscotta.  Our outstanding staff is dedicated to making every visit an enjoyable experience.

The Kennedy Learning Center is a place where work teams visit to learn and grow, where groups spend time to think and create, and where families come together to celebrate and share.

In addition to eleven twin-bedded guest rooms, each with private bath and both interior and exterior exits, the main lodge houses a fully equipped kitchen overseen by a professional cook, a dining room, a large wraparound porch, a small lounge with comfortable chairs, reading lights, a TV with DVD player and computer connections, and a large conference room with a projector and screens that can be configured in a number of ways.

Four additional bedrooms are located nearby in the Annex, allowing the Learning Center to house as many as thirty guests overnight.  Both the KLC and Annex offer WiFi access.

Adjacent to the main building is a multi-element adventure course and a private dock with canoes, kayaks and sailboats in season.  KWE’s private landing in Bremen is a twenty minute drive away.  This fourteen acre oceanfront property has a large picnic deck and a deep-water wharf where Learning Center guests can enjoy, in season, lobster cookouts or cruises around Muscongus Bay onboard the Snowgoose III, Kieve’s 42-passenger, Coast Guard certified tour boat (additional $380/hr fee applies, 3hr minimum).

WAVUS CAMPUS & JEWELL LODGE

After an eventful and joyous camp season, the Wavus campus becomes a place of transformation and relaxation for others with a similar mission to strengthen individuals and community. Through KWE sponsored programs as well as those hosted for other non-profit programs, such as For Pete’s Sake and Maine Adaptive, the Wavus campus and its Jewell Lodge are remarkable spaces for large group retreats. The Jewell Lodge can serve buffet meals indoors or outdoors on the wrap around deck, both with incredible views of the lake.

The campus has indoor and outdoor breakout spaces for small group discussions or activities and a spacious dining hall that also serves as a meeting space for larger retreats. The waterfront facility provides access to a fleet of canoes and kayaks, standup paddle boards, sailboats, and a wonderful swim area to enjoy a refreshing dip in the lake. Wavus offers comfortable cabins, some winterized, with bathrooms and accommodations for up to 16 people in bunk beds.

KIEVE CAMPUS & PASQUANEY HALL

When not already in use by Camp Kieve for Boys or The Leadership School, the Kieve Campus and its Pasquaney Dining Hall are great for larger retreats, with 15 fully winterized cabins each with space for up to 16 people in bunk beds and two full bathrooms.

There are plenty of break out spaces, both indoors and out, for smaller group discussions or activities, a fleet of canoes, kayaks, standup paddle boards, and sailboats, and a large dock with swim rafts to enjoy a refreshing dip in the lake. The Pasquaney Dining Hall can serve buffet meals either indoors or outdoors on the wrap around deck, both with incredible views of the lake.

HARRIET HOUSE

Located only a few feet from the water’s edge, the Harriet House can sleep up to 10 people in five bedrooms. The house has four full bathrooms and an open kitchen, living, and dining area. Outside, the Harriet House has a porch with a gas grill overlooking the lake, a stone fire pit perfect for campfires and s’mores, a private dock with a fleet of canoes and kayaks, and an outdoor shower.

FORBES COTTAGE

The first of two cottages along the shoreline on Kennedy Cottage Road, Forbes Cottage can sleep 4-6 people, with two bedrooms, a loft, a screened in porch with a futon, and one bathroom, in addition to an open kitchen, living, and dining area. Outside, Forbes Cottage has a porch with a gas grill, a private dock with canoes and kayaks and of course a fire pit for those evening campfires.
